For lawns that need more than routine treatment, a renovation can provide the reset needed to encourage healthier, thicker and better-looking grass.
Over time, lawns can suffer from compacted soil, moss, weeds, thinning grass and poor recovery after dry weather or heavy use. A lawn renovation is designed to improve the growing conditions, remove unwanted material, introduce fresh seed and help the lawn recover with stronger, healthier growth.

Standard Lawn Renovation
When is the best time to renovate a lawn?
Lawn renovations are normally carried out in spring or autumn, when conditions are best for recovery and new seed establishment. Renovation slots are limited during these periods, so it is worth planning ahead. We are now taking lawn renovation bookings for Autumn 2026 and Spring 2027.
When a lawn needs a bigger reset
Some lawns are too thin, uneven or weed-filled for a standard renovation to deliver the best result.
Where the existing lawn is in particularly poor condition, we may recommend a more substantial approach. This could include killing off the existing lawn and mechanically seeding into the prepared surface, which can be a cost-effective route to establishing a new lawn.
Where the lawn needs significant re-levelling, we may recommend removing the turf and either seeding or re-turfing the area, depending on the finish required, your budget and the time of year.
The right approach depends on the condition of the lawn, the result you want to achieve, your budget, and how quickly you want the lawn back in use.
Pricing
Lawn renovations usually start from £650 for smaller lawns, with final pricing depending on the size, condition and level of work required.
Larger lawns, heavy moss or thatch, additional topdressing, levelling work, difficult access or more substantial renovation work may increase the cost.
You’ll always receive clear fixed pricing before any work is agreed, with no hidden extras. Where appropriate, we may provide a couple of recommended options, allowing you to choose the approach that best suits your budget and the result you want to achieve.
Aftercare matters
A successful renovation does not end on the day the work is carried out.
New seed and young grass need consistent moisture while they establish. If the lawn is allowed to dry out during this period, results can take longer or be disappointing.
We’ll provide clear aftercare advice, but customers must be prepared to water the lawn properly, especially during dry or warm weather.
For best results, renovation work is often followed by one of our annual lawn care programmes to protect your investment and to continue improving the lawn.
